They say lightning doesn't strike the same place twice, but it can strike the same town twice.

The Swansea Fire Department says two buildings were struck by lightning Wednesday morning.

According to the Department's Facebook page a tree on Locust Street was struck around 8:15 a.m. The lightning then travelled to a propane line, damaging it, and causing a fire.

Minutes later a screen house on Cummings Road was struck. That strike also damaged a nearby shed after the lightning followed a service line back to the structure.

No injuries were reported in either incident.
