Foley said it appears the vehicle struck a utility pole before going into the water. The suspect then exited the vehicle once it was in the water and fled the scene in a waiting vehicle.

The vehicle was removed from the water, and no injuries were reported. The vehicle had been reported stolen from a Swansea residence shortly before the crash, Foley said.
