Former Lakeville Firefighter Arrested Again for Sexual Assault
A former Lakeville firefighter with a history of sexual assault charges has been arrested again on similar charges.
Thomas W. Dunlevy, 53, of Lakeville was arrested by Lakeville Police on April 30, the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office confirmed to WBSM News.
According to Beth Stone, spokesperson for District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz, the former Lakeville Fire Department Lieutenant was charged with criminal complaints by Lakeville Police, charging him with three counts of indecent assault and battery on a person over 14, and one count of performing an unnatural act.
The complaints allege that Dunlevy sexually assaulted a male victim three times over the past several months.
Dunlevy was originally due to be arraigned yesterday in Wareham District Court, but that proceeding was postponed until today. He was held on $2,000 cash bail in Wareham. His conditions of release were suspended, and he was transferred to Brockton Superior Court to address the bail issue on his open case.
Dunlevy was previously charged in March 2016 with raping another firefighter after illegally serving him alcohol. The victim was underage at the time, and told police underage drinking regularly took place at Dunlevy's home with himself and other Lakeville firefighters. The rape allegedly occurred in 2014 at a campground in Wareham, after Dunlevy had again served the underage firefighter alcohol.
Dunlevy resigned from the Lakeville Fire Department on March 4, 2016, and later pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was originally held on $25,000 bail. In April 2016, Wareham Police filed additional charges against Dunlevy.
He was indicted by a Plymouth County grand jury in July 2016.
A second accuser then came forward a week after the indictment, saying Dunlevy tried to rape him 2010.
Dunlevy is next due in court in Wareham on the latest charges June 1.
