Fatal Crash in Taunton Under Investigation

TAUNTON — A fatal motor vehicle crash in Taunton this morning is being investigated by Massachusetts State Police and Taunton Police.

At around 8 a.m. today, a two vehicle collision occurred near the corner of Myles Standish Boulevard and John Hancock Road just outside of the Myles Standish Industrial Complex.

The two vehicles involved were a 2014 Jeep Cherokee being driven by a 48-year-old Taunton woman and a GATRA Bus being driven by a 56-year-old Rhode Island woman. The woman who was operating the Jeep died as a result of the crash.

The victim was identified Monday afternoon as 48-year-old Renee Shea of Taunton.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.
