FALL RIVER (WBSM) — El Jibarito Restaurant closed last December and will reopen next month, bringing back its mouthwatering Puerto Rican flavors.

Once located on Rhode Island Avenue, El Jibarito is opening its new doors on Bedford Street. It first opened in 2020 but was permanently closed just after three years. Now, customers can re-experience its authentic dishes.

If you are unfamiliar with El Jibarito, the restaurant takes pride in "offering authentic culinary experience that showcases the vibrant flavors and rich tradition of Puerto Rican cuisine," as its website states.

Its menu offers a range of options, from traditional breakfast to dinner selections prepared with fresh ingredients.

If you're looking for something quick, take-out and delivery options are available along with reservations. After dinner, guests can also indulge in homemade pastries.

One of the great things about living on the SouthCoast is the number of restaurants available that allow us to experience different cultures through food. There's always something to try from Mexican, Portuguese, Puerto Rican cuisine and everything in between.

The grand opening is scheduled for June 4 at 11 a.m. at 840 Bedford Street in Fall River.

Despite the numerous options that already make it tough to decide your next dining destination, El Jibarito is one to add to the list.
