If you’ve spent any time around the Fun 107 and WBSM parking lot here in Fairhaven, you know it tends to attract the unexpected.

Over the years, we’ve come across some pretty strange things that make you stop, do a double take, and wonder how they ended up there in the first place.

Still, nothing quite prepared me for what my co-worker Tim Weisberg and I stumbled upon during a casual stroll over to Stop & Shop.

A Casual Walk Takes a Turn

Right before crossing Sconticut Neck Road, something in the mulch caught our attention.

At first, it looked like a small stuffed animal partially buried, with just the top of its head poking out from the ground.

Naturally, curiosity got the best of us, and we had to take a closer look.

Not Buried, Just Beheaded

As we approached, it quickly became clear that this wasn’t a doll buried in the ground.

It was just the head.

What really stood out, though, was how clean the separation was. This wasn’t something that had been torn apart over time or damaged by the elements. The edges around the neck were noticeably precise, almost as if it had been intentionally cut.

What In the Satanic Ritual Happened Here?

That’s where the mystery kicks in.

How long has it been sitting there? Where is the rest of the doll? Maybe the biggest question of all: who takes what appears to be a somewhat pricey stuffed toy and decapitates it?

There were no clues, no signs of the missing pieces or Labubu stuffing within the vicinity, and nothing to explain how it ended up there. Just a lone doll head resting in the mulch like it’s been quietly waiting for someone to notice.

I swear, you can't make this stuff up.
