
Fairhaven Police Investigate Main Street Stabbing; Woman in Custody
FAIRHAVEN (WBSM) — A woman has been taken into custody in connection with the stabbing of a man in Fairhaven this morning that left him with life-threatening injuries.
Emergency Response to Main Street
According to Fairhaven Police, officers responded at about 10:44 a.m. today to the area of 60 Main Street for a reported stabbing.
Officers arrived to find a man suffering from an apparent stab wound to the chest. He was treated at the scene by Fairhaven EMS and taken to a local hospital with injuries believed to be life-threatening.

Suspect Detained at the Scene
An adult female was taken into custody at the scene in connection with the incident. Police did not identify either the suspect or the victim and direct all further inquiries to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.
No Active Threat to Public Safety
Police said the investigation determined the suspect and the victim are known to each other, and that there is no threat to the general public. The incident remains under investigation by Fairhaven Police and Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the D.A.’s Office.
