Faihaven's plan of investing in a 31 acre piece of land failed to pass Town Meeting Tuesday night.

The main focus of the Special Town Meeting was the town's purchase of 211 Mill Road for almost $1.5 million was voted to "indefinite postponement."

Board of Selectmen Chairman Bob Espindola says he's not upset by the vote.

The Board presented its idea to use the land for commercial use and draw new jobs to the town.

With the defeat of the land purchase, a 7-acre solar farm is expected to be built in that area next year.
