Happy Wet Nose Wednesday!

Wednesdays are all about the animals up for adoption on the SouthCoast, and there are certainly plenty to choose from. Each week, we like to shine a light on one lucky animal in hopes of uniting them with the perfect family. This week we head to Fairhaven where a little dog with a big heart is patiently waiting.

Meet Max, a 5-year-old mini Aussie who resides at Fairhaven Animal Shelter in Fairhaven. He may be 5 years old, but he's got the energy of a puppy.

"He gets a little nervous when he meets someone but after he knows you he will be your best friend," the shelter said.

In his five years, Max has picked up some quirks. He doesn't like to be touched while eating, but honestly, who does? The shelter recommends older children because of this.

He is also "dog-selective" so the shelter will need to meet any other dog in the household to ensure Max is a good fit.

Max loves to chase toys but doesn't like to bring them back. You can expect Max to bring lots of energy and love to your home. He will be the perfect companion.

He was just neutered last week, so all that's left to do is unite him with his forever family.

Does Max sound like a good fit for you and your family? Contact Fairhaven Animal Shelter, like them on Facebook and schedule a play date today.

If SouthCoast Dogs Had a Dating App, It Would Look Something Like This

August 26 is International Dog Day, and it got me thinking. What if there was a way for dogs to connect with other dogs in the area to make new friends? Or maybe even find love? Twenty-six dogs living on the SouthCoast sent me their profile picture and bio. Let's see the eligible pups.

Check out these 50 fascinating facts about dogs:
