
Elderly Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Taunton Crash
TAUNTON — An elderly Taunton man has been hospitalized with serious injuries after he was struck by a vehicle while walking in the city Monday evening.
Taunton police said the victim's injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The 78-year-old man was hit by a vehicle near 10 Oak St. just after 6 p.m. Monday.

Officers responded to find the victim conscious and alert but suffering from serious injuries.
Police said the responding officers gave the elderly man aid before he was taken to a nearby hospital via ambulance.
The vehicle driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators, police said.
According to police, the driver is a 38-year-old Taunton man.
Neither he nor the victim have been identified.
Police said the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
