Caroline Kennedy In Line For Ambassador Appointment
Caroline Kennedy's next job may involve many trips to the Far East.
The daughter of the late President John F. Kennedy is said to be a leading candidate to become President Obama's nominee as the U.S. Ambassador to Japan.
Kennedy had previously considered continuing her family's role in public service when she told New York Governor David Paterson in 2009 she was interested in the U.S. Senate seat given up by future Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Obama is said to be laying out his plans for ambassadorships for numerous countries, and announcements could come soon. (Metro Network Inc.)
