Car Strikes Gas Pump at East Wareham Convenience Store
EAST WAREHAM — On Friday, September 15th at approximately 12:30 pm, Wareham Police officers, along with EMS and Onset Fire Department personnel, responded to a motor vehicle accident at 7-Eleven Store on Route 6 & 28 (Cranberry Highway) in East Wareham, involving a motor vehicle into a gas pump in the parking lot.
Upon arrival, officers noticed the fire suppression system over the gas pump station had been activated when a gas pump was struck by a vehicle operated by 60-year-old John Malley of Wareham, who backed his van and inadvertently struck and knocked over the gas pump.
There were no injuries reported at the scene, and a motor vehicle citation was not issued.
