BROCKTON — A student at Brockton High School has died after he was involved in a single-car crash in the city Sunday night.

The Plymouth County District Attorney's Office confirmed 19-year-old Tony Sostre of Brockton was killed in the crash.

Police received multiple 911 calls at around 9:30 p.m. Sunday reporting a crash near 422 East St. in Brockton, according to the D.A.'s office.

Sostre was driving a Mercedes when it left the roadway and struck a telephone pole.

He was taken to Brockton Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The D.A.'s office stated that Brockton police and state police detectives are investigating.

Family members have set up a GoFundMe for his memorial service.
