Fatal Crash in Bourne as Car Slams Head-On Into Tractor Trailer

One person has died in a fatal crash in Bourne Sunday evening.

The crash occurred at around 6:15 p.m. Sunday. Bourne Police said a 2019 Nissan Sentra crossed over the center line of Sandwich Road in the area of the Cape Cod Canal Midway Recreation Area and collided head-on with a tractor trailer traveling in the opposite direction.

The female driver of the Nissan was killed in the crash, while the driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured. The name of the victim has not yet been released.
