ATTLEBORO (WBSM) — Attleboro Police are investigating after an SUV crashed into a cannabis dispensary Thursday afternoon.

According to Attleboro Fire Chief Scott T. Lachance, the department was dispatched to Zahara Cannabis Dispensary at 70 Frank Mossberg Drive at around 1:30 p.m. on April 11 for a report of a car that crashed into the building.

First responders arrived to find a Nissan Pathfinder had crashed through a wall and came to a stop about 15 feet into the store.

According to Lachance, the Pathfinder was being operated by a 62-year-old Attleboro woman, who was the only person in the SUV. She was injured, as were two people that were inside the store at the time of the crash. The three people were transported to a local hospital by ambulance with injuries that were not life-threatening.

A city building inspector was called to the scene and determined the building is structurally sound. Firefighters had to cut away parts of the building in order to allow a tow truck to remove the vehicle from inside the store.

Attleboro Police are investigating but as of this time, no charges have been announced against the driver.
