Native fashions, food, music, and the rich cultural history of Bristol Community College’s international community of students will be showcased at this year’s International Festival.The event will be held Tuesday, April 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Commonwealth College Center (G-Building) atrium, on the BCC Fall River campus at 777 Elsbree St.While the fair is free and open to the public, participants who wish to enjoy international cuisine, from more than 10 countries, are asked to purchase a ticket for $6. The international lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m.

The highly anticipated annual and celebratory event provides the entire college community the opportunity to learn more about the cultural backgrounds of BCC’s widely ethnically diverse students through demonstrations, language, and the arts.

Several continents and close to 50 different countries will be represented at this year’s International Festival, sponsored by the college’s International Club.

The public is invited to join in as BCC’s English as a Second Language and international students will take a turn at teaching their native languages in several workshops, visit cultural display booths, and stay for a fashion show displaying the cultural clothing of BCC’s international students.
