Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hasn't completed a full term in the House, but the leftwinger is a force and she has come to dominate energy policy for Democrats.

Don't underestimate AOC these days. The young lady defeated a longtime Democrat in 2018 and she has been gathering up power ever since. She is a woman of color and she is pushing around the remaining old White men who are still Democrats.

Joe Biden and the Democrats have turned over their energy policy to a freshman member of Congress. Biden was elected to office before AOC was born. What is remarkable about AOC is her complete lack of expertise or experience with any aspect of the production, costs, and distribution of energy. It would be impossible for her to have mastered the incredibly complex world of oil, gas, solar, wind, nuclear, hydro-electric, and geothermal energy production in the short time she has been alive, never mind that she has only been in Congress for 18 months.

According to the New York Times, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez is the head of Biden's energy task force along with former Secretary of State John Kerry. She is leading the policy conversation for the Biden campaign as the candidate remains isolated in his basement.

Previously, AOC dreamed up the "Green New Deal" as a policy. The policy isn't actually a policy but a simple resolution without any serious study or research. When questioned on the details, the supporters will try to minimalize it and point out that it isn't really anything more than a wish list. The wish list would abolish fossil fuel-powered engines.

There would be no more airplanes or traditional automobiles. There would be no more home heating oil burners. No more electricity from natural gas or oil or nuclear power. Life as we know it would end in the states of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, New York, Connecticut, and the rest of the East Coast. Strange that the Democrats of these states are some of the strongest supporters of the Green New Deal.

Keep in mind that Joe Biden and other mature Democrats originally refused to side with the Green New Deal. In just a few months, they have gone down on bended knee to get the blessing of the radical left and the youngsters who don't know much about the energy industry.
