Authorities say one person has died of stab wounds and two other people were injured during a fight that broke out on a Brockton basketball court that eventually involved about 100 people.

The victims suffered multiple stab wounds during the brawl on the courts at the James Edgar Playground at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Authorities say all three victims ended up at the hospital and an 18-year-old man died. No names were released.

Mayor Bill Carpenter says one person is being questioned but there have been no arrests.

The Enterprise newspaper reports that the playground was a childhood hangout for boxer Rocky Marciano. The playground reopened last summer after extensive renovations, including new volleyball, tennis and basketball courts.

Calls to the Plymouth district attorney's office were not immediately returned.
