Rodriquez Family Says “Thank You” To Area Residents

 

The family of fallen Marine Matthew Rodriquez is saying "thank you" to the people of Fairhaven and Southeastern Mass. for the support they've shown the family.

Fairhaven Says Goodbye To Fallen Marine

 

American flags surrounded the First Congregational Church in Fairhaven Monday morning, for the funeral mass for Lance Cpl. Matthew Rodriquez, who was killed this month in Afghanistan. 

Color guards from various veterans, police and fire organizations lined up outside the Center Street church, as the hearse carryng the marine's coffin pulled up to the front entrance.  M

Marine’s Family Requests Only Family And Friends Attend Funeral

The family of fallen Marine Lance Cpl. Matthew Rodriquez is requesting that only family members and close friends attend his funeral Monday at the First Congregational Church in Fairhaven.

In a statement released Saturday, the family said the support and love for Matthew has been amazing, but because of the size of the church, they are limiting seating to immediate friends and family
