Sycamore St. Fire Leaves Tenament Uninhabitable

A fire late Saturday morning at 69 Sycamore St. caused extensive damage, and left the structure uninhabitable.

District Fire Chief James Clark says flames were seen coming out of the second floor windows and attic windows when firefighters arrived around 11:46am.  All of the occupants made it out safely, including several pets.

Clark said it took about 15 minutes to put out the fire, and no injuries were reported.
