Shoshana B. Roberts, the young woman featured in the video, walked around New York City for 10 hours and was harassed over 100 times. A hidden GoPro camera captured the catcalls, the "compliments" and even a silent stalker. The video went viral within hours. TIME asked director Rob Bliss if any of it was staged. He said, “I didn’t have any contact with any of these guys, the whole idea was to be a stone wall and just let everyone else bounce off us.”

I was freaked out by the guy who walked in step with her for more than five minutes without saying a word. I was offended by the guy who said she should say thank you because he "complimented" her. I was mortified at the guy who asked her if the reason she wouldn't talk to him was because he was "ugly." None of those comments were ok.

I consider myself to be a friendly person. I smile politely and say hi to strangers on my walks. But if someone were to pay me a "compliment" the way these men spoke to her, I would feel really uncomfortable. That is disrespectful in my opinion. Let the girl go about her business without fear of drawing unwanted attention. She's wearing jeans and a crew neck for goodness sake! What happens when she goes to a club with her girls at night?
