22 year-old Matthew Cordle gained some fame with his now famous YouTube video entitled "I Killed A Man." In the video he confesses to driving drunk, and killing the driver of the other vehicle.

Despite saying in the video that he would plead guilty and "take full responsibility" for his actions, Cordle and his defense team shocked everyone with a "not guilty" plea on Monday.

The judge was visibly upset, but Codles lawyers say that by pleading not guilty, it gets the legal ball rolling.

Others have pointed out that by pleading guilty it would lock that judge in, and the defense team says they aren't sure of the judge, Julie Lynch, would sentence him.
