Not much more than a lukewarm response from the media and the left yesterday when President Donald Trump announced the raid that led to the death of the world's most wanted terrorist, ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

There was some nut job media reaction such as the headline in the Washington Post that ignored the fact that al-Baghdadi was a ruthless terrorist: "Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, austere religious scholar at the helm of Islamic State, dies at 48." Now, that was an eye-popper.

CNN's Jake Tapper was on the attack before Trump even uttered a word: "This information happened, this happened last night. And there is no reason to announce it at 9 a.m. and to delay the announcement that we’re now almost 20 minutes into the 9 a.m. hour and we were told this would start at 9 a.m. unless, of course, the president is trying to have a big build-up. This is the showmanship we know he appreciates. This is part of this. And given the fact that so much of what the Sunday shows are – here he comes. Here is President Trump 20 minutes late with a big announcement.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) was seething because Trump didn't give her advanced notice of the raid.

"The House must be briefed on this raid, which the Russians but not top Congressional leadership were notified of in advance, and on the administration’s overall strategy in the region," she said. "Our military and allies deserve strong, smart and strategic leadership from Washington."

Congressman Adam Schiff was left out too, and he was maaaad!

By the way, it has been more than a month since Schiff's Intelligence Committee was briefed on Syria because it has been preoccupied with attempted to impeach Trump.

Former Obama National Security Adviser Susan Rice went on Face the Nation on CBS to throw cold water on the mission.

"Obviously it’s a major milestone and it’s one we all should be welcoming quite plainly, but it doesn't mean that the fight against ISIS is over. And it doesn’t mean that we can declare mission accomplished and just walk away," she said.

President Trump was booed and jeered as his image was shown on the jumbotron at last night's World Series game. On the day that Trump announced such a huge military and psychological victory for America, he was booed by partisan D.C. hacks. No shock there. It just goes to show that there is little class left in Swampville. The Nationals got smacked by the Astros. Instant karma.

To all of the brave men and women who planned, executed and supported the effort to eradicate al-Baghdadi, thank you. To President Trump, thank you for your leadership. To our allies and adversaries who assisted in ridding the world of this human scum, thank you too. The world is a better place because of you.
