Bittersweet news out of Westport as The Blend, a well-known self-care and wellness studio at 237 State Road, has announced it will be closing its doors at the end of March 2026.

As one of the first SouthCoast businesses to say farewell in the new year, the announcement has landed heavily, but with gratitude, pride, and heart behind it.

For nearly three years, The Blend has been more than just a place to unwind. It’s been a space where people slowed down, learned the importance of self-care, and were encouraged to truly take care of themselves from the ground up.

Quite literally.

A Space Built on Care, Connection, and Community

“I don’t even know where to start,” said owner and CEO Danielle Oliveira. “I love our guests to death. They are the best people I’ve ever met and that’s the number one thing.”

Oliveira shared that one of her biggest passions through The Blend was educating people on the importance of foot health, relaxation, and creating a safe space where guests could focus on themselves without guilt or distraction.

“I’ve been able to teach people how to relax in a safe place and involve themselves in more self-care,” she said. “That advocacy is my one piece of advice to everyone.”

Why the Chapter Is Closing — But the Story Isn’t Ending

The decision to close didn't come easily. In a heartfelt message to the community, Oliveira explained that after a lot of reflection, she and her husband decided to shift their energy toward their growing real estate development and interior design business.

While the chapter is ending, the spirit behind The Blend is still very much alive.

A Team That Helped Make The Blend What It Was

Just as important as the guests, Oliveira made it a point to highlight the people who helped make The Blend what it was.

“The staff, they’ve been so good. The most flexible staff I could ask for, especially for an on-call job,” she said. “They’re great people, and we’ve had nothing but great reviews about them. I’m thankful I was able to create a positive culture for both our staff and our guests.”

One Last Soak and a Grateful Goodbye

The Blend will remain open through the end of March 27, giving its loyal guests a little more time to come in for one last soak, or a few. Gift cards will be honored through the closing date, with full refunds available for anyone unable to redeem them.

As the announcement wrapped, Oliveira summed it up simply and honestly:

“I’m going to miss this for sure," she said.

Judging by the reaction from the SouthCoast community, the feeling is mutual.
