Westport Friends Book Sale Returns This Weekend With Thousands of Books
There are few things I look forward to as much as the annual Westport Friends Book Sale, and it's happening this weekend. This is one of the summer marquee events that gets my attention every year.
I love wandering through used book stores with my Dunkin' Cold Brew (cream only) in hand, looking for bargains and an unexpected tome or two I might not have known I needed to add to my library. This is even better.
The Westport Quakers have held the annual book sale for almost as long as I have been alive. "What started as a seven-table book fair in 1961 has grown into a locally anticipated event that attracts book lovers from throughout the region," according to the Friends website.
