Wareham Man Arrested After Doing Donuts While Allegedly Drunk
WAREHAM — A Wareham man is under arrest after police catching him spinning donuts in a parking lot while under the influence of alcohol.
On Wednesday at about 9:40 p.m., Officer Michael Phinney was sitting in the parking lot of the Bay Pointe Country Club, writing a police report. A car came down Bay Pointe Drive, and then turned into the gravel lot adjacent to the golf course.
The vehicle starting spinning around--doing donuts--in the lot. Officer Phinney pulled over to the vehicle and activated his blue lights.
After an investigation, it was determined the operator of the vehicle appeared to be under the influence, and he was placed into custody.
Arrested was 25-year-old Jorden A. Perry of Wareham. He is charged with OUI liquor, second offense; negligent operation of a motor vehicle; and possession of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
