This Massachusetts Food Truck Is Revolutionizing Chicken Parmesan

When it comes to restaurants and food trucks, I tend to order the flashiest items.

When I visited Lepage's Seafood in Westport and saw it had crab rangoon mozzarella sticks, I was all in. The fried ice cream waffles and French toast from Payton's in Seekonk? Sign me up. The dessert pizzas from Buddies & Brother grabbed my attention, too, but you get the idea.

If I'm going out to eat, I'm looking for the gems on the menu that you won't find anywhere else.

I'm excited about the new one I'm adding to the list.

Over the weekend, I attended my future brother-in-law's wedding in Sturbridge and what a great time it was. During our downtime, we visited Treehouse Brewery for a beer or two. A food truck by the name of Patruno's Place grabbed my attention, mainly due to the giant angry (spicy, you could say) meatball painted on it.

The meatball reminded me of the show Aqua Teen Hunger Force on Adult Swim.

The menu was mostly Italian classics and comfort food. I was looking for something light or small, and this truck was perfect. Going down the menu, I had my sights on the meatball sliders, but then got completely distracted when I saw the words "chicken parm on a stick."

If you ask me, you can never go wrong with anything that comes "on a stick." I was sold immediately.

It was so simple, yet so delicious and revolutionary. I could casually hold a beer with one hand while holding a piece of chicken parm in the other. I'm not sure if anyone else has done this before, but my hat goes off to the person who decided to shove a wooden stick inside a chicken tender, smother it with marinara and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on it.

I'm aware that the food truck is quite a ride away for you SouthCoasters reading this, but if you're ever in the western part of Massachusetts, track down this food truck.

Trust me, it's worth the calories.
