The Southcoast Health system is welcoming more Boston-based children's physicians to their hospitals.

Southcoast Health Executive Vice President Linda Bodenmann tells WBSM News the system is expanding it's partnership with Boston Children's Hospital, adding more physicians to the Level 2 nurseries in two of their hospitals. "These are physicians that are trained in neonatology, trained in special services, and really have a greater expertise for caring for the very sick, small infants that are born in St. Luke's and Charlton from time to time," says Bodenmann.

Bodenmann says the physicians will also assess Southcoast's pediatric programs, helping to improve the quality of care at all three of their area hospitals.
