For only the fourth time in the show's 27-year history, Antiques Roadshow is coming to the Boston area this season.

My inner nerd got very excited to hear that one of the five cities the show will visit for the 2023 season is Sturbridge.

Yes, on June 13 the show will film (presumably at Old Sturbridge Village) and you can be there.

Have you got a family heirloom you know next to nothing about? A flea market find you want to know the value of? Well, you can when the traveling appraisal show comes our way this summer.

How To Score Free Tickets to Antiques Roadshow Filming

So, how do you get into the show? Turns out it's as easy as signing up on your local PBS website and letting them know you want to be there for a taping.

The series has what is basically a lottery system for attending tapings and it only takes a few minutes to get yourself in the running.

Click here to see the tour event site and take the first step towards being at a taping.

All entries must be submitted by March 13, 2023, and all drawings will take place in early April. If you get an email from the production staff by the middle of April, you are in for the taping and can start planning what to take.

It should be noted, however, that anything you bring to Antiques Roadshow doesn't get an official appraisal. Staff will give verbal approximations on what your item might be worth, but nothing in writing is ever given. You have to then take the item to an official appraiser for that to happen.

Still, it's a fun day learning about the history of your stuff. A chance to find out you have a major treasure in your house sounds amazing to me.
