I suppose you're never too young to change the world! But, electing a teenager to sit on the city council to represent thousands of people in a Brockton's Ward 6 is eyebrow raising! That's exactly what voters wanted, as they elected 18-year-old Jack Lally, a recent high school graduate, and Brockton's youngest city councilor that has made history. Jack Lally is the youngest person of modern time to serve on the Brockton City Council.

Now, a college student studying, what else, political science, Jack was the pacesetter in the race after receiving 1,209 votes compared to his opponent, Steve Foote's 847 votes. What's more, Jack beat out Mr. Foote who is a seasoned public servant and former chair of the Brockton Democratic City Committee. Lally isn't the only teenager elected to office on Tuesday. James DeAmicus, who graduated from Quincy High School in June, won a seat on the Quincy School Board on election night!
