TAUNTON (WBSM) — An 18-year-old has been charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting last week of another teen in Taunton.

Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III announced that Kareem Gendraw, with a last known address in Randolph, was taken into custody on the night of September 24 by members of the Massachusetts State Police Violent Apprehension Section.

Gendraw is being charged with murder and carrying an illegal firearm in the killing of Khamitri Cole, 17, of Brockton.

At around 12:25 am on Sept. 19, Taunton Police responded to 351 Lothrop Street after receiving a 911 call regarding a person being shot inside the mobile home at that address.

Cole was found by first responders and pronounced deceased at the scene.

Gendraw will be arraigned today in Taunton District Court.
