Fatal Shooting

New Bedford Police are investigating a fatal shooting after 31-year-old Steven Coan was found with gunshot wounds late Wednesday night.

A mother and son were fatally shot in Fall River as police investigate a domestic shooting on Barnes Street involving the woman’s boyfriend.

An arrest has been made in connection to the fatal shooting of a New Bedford man in the city’s South End.

Police responded to the 130-block of Dartmouth Street at around 9 p.m.

Prosecutors say Bruno Lopes and Kevin Rocha entered the building together, and that Rocha pointed a gun at the occupant "with the intent to rob." Rocha ended up dead, and two men are charged.

Ricardo Velez-Gonzalez was arrested Wednesday in Eastham and accused of killing a man at 17 Margin St. in the South End.

Police converged Friday morning at 17 Margin St., where a man was reportedly shot multiple times.

The Bristol County DA's Office today announced the preliminary autopsy results and said no further information would be released at this time.

A 23-year-old Fall River man has been arrested and charged in connection with Wednesday morning's homicide in Fall River.

Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Fall River early this morning and claimed the life of a 22-year-old man.
