More than a dozen Special Olympics basketball teams will be welcomed to the campus of Tabor Academy to participate in the 1st Valentine’s Day Hoops Tournament on Sunday, February 14, from 10am to 2pm.

The event is free and open to the public and will be held inside the Fish Center for Health and Athletics at 256 Front Street.

According to South Coast Today.com, “the participating teams will be coming from all over the South Coast as well as Cape Cod.” The teams will consist of a mix of unified teams, which is a combination of intellectual impaired athletes and partners without intellectual disabilities, and traditional Special Olympics teams. Teams will be split up into two divisions. One division will consist of players between the ages 13 and 21 and the other division is for over the age of 22.
