Suspect Arrested in Connection with Fatal Stabbing in Wareham
WAREHAM — A suspect has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing earlier this in Wareham, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.
At approximately 4:55 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6, Wareham Police received a 911 call for a report of a stabbing in the area of 184 Main Street. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle with obvious damage and the male victim outside bleeding from a stab wound. The victim was taken to Tobey Hospital in Wareham before being medflighted to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, where he was pronounced dead of his injuries Friday at 5:22 a.m.
The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Yves Roux, Jr. of Wareham.
On Friday, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz announced the arrest of 65-year-old David Robbins of Wareham in connection with the fatal stabbing. Robbins is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Wareham District Court on one count each of murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
