The New Bedford-Fairhaven Bridge will reopen for motor vehicle traffic Saturday at 6pm as scheduled.

The bridge has been closed since March 30th, so contractors could make repairs to the bridge's floor beams.  During the two-week period, crews have been working around the clock to get the job done.

A spokesperson for Mass. D-O-T tells WBSM News, the repair work is on schedule and the Route Six bridge should reopen at 6pm as previously announced.
