One thing is as certain as death and taxes: the Democrats will politicize anything, even the coronavirus if they see an opportunity for personal or political gains. Yeah, they're at it again.

The Trump Administration has been able to keep the number of COVID-19 deaths and confirmed cases to a minimum so far by imposing travel restrictions early on from high-risk places such as China, but was quickly called a racist by Democrats for doing so. Even though top federal health officials say the action prevented thousands of people from becoming ill or dying.

Not only are the Democrats criticizing Trump for his new travel restrictions aimed at preventing people who have been infected with coronavirus from entering the country, but they have actually filed legislation to restrict his ability to impose such restrictions. They go so far as to call him a racist and a xenophobe.

Bernie Sanders demands that the border remain open to anyone who wishes to cross even if they might put the public at risk, and Joe Biden hammers Trump's response to the crisis but offers no solutions of his own.

One of the key issues hampering the administration from fighting the coronavirus is the inability to conduct widespread testing. Another is that previous administrations sold us out by making us dependent on the Chinese for antibiotics and the medical supplies we need to get a leg up on the virus. Both of these problems were inherited by the previous Democrat administration.

And how about Democrat Nancy Pelosi holding up relief legislation by attempting to tie funding for abortions to it?

There once was a time in America when partisanship was set aside during a time of crisis. To their credit, Mayor Bill DeBlasio of New York and Governor Gavin Newsom of California, both Democrats, have offered support and encouragement to the Trump Administration.

Cooperation and bi-partisanship are needed now to resolve this crisis. Politicking only makes things worse and creates panic. It's time for our elected leaders to stand up and stand united for the people of America. We demand and expect no less.
