I've heard of down-and-out people selling hair or their blood to earn a buck, but how about $75 just for getting a COVID vaccine?

It's happening right here in Massachusetts.

The Massachusetts Bureau of Infectious Disease and Laboratory Sciences stated that "A $75 gift card will be offered to Massachusetts residents (adult or child) who get vaccinated (first dose, second dose or booster) at any of the special clinics" listed on the Bureau's website.

"Not all vaccine clinics in Massachusetts are part of this special program," the bureau stated, so you've got to visit their website to see which ones are participating.

According to the website, "COVID vaccines and boosters are free; no ID or health insurance is needed. Families are welcome. The offer is good until December 31, 2022, while supplies last."

"All members of a family, including children, can receive gift cards," the bureau stated. "For children or teens under 18 years old, an accompanying adult must be present to receive the gift card(s)."

"Children ages six months to 4 years can get the COVID vaccine, and anyone age five years and older can get a COVID vaccine or updated booster at these clinics, unless otherwise in the clinic schedule."

The Bureau said appointments are not required, but some clinics "may encourage pre-registration."

According to MassLive, "There are nearly 250 clinics across the state taking part in the program – known as "Get Boosted" – which is designed to increase vaccine access in communities hit hardest by the virus."
