SOMERSET — A Rhode Island woman is dead as the result of a single-vehicle crash in Somerset Tuesday morning.

Massachusetts State Police have identified the victim of Tuesday morning's crash on I-195 as a 65-year-old woman from Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the woman was traveling west on I-195 in Somerset at about 6:40 a.m. when, for reasons still under investigation, she lost control of her 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee and crashed into the median before rolling over in the left lane of the highway near Exit 4. Police say the woman was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman's identity has not yet been released.

Massachusetts State Police say the investigation into the crash is ongoing.

All lanes of I-195 westbound have been reopened.
