The Red Sox are making safety nets stretch from dugout to dugout behind home plate at Fenway Park.

The "Boston Globe" reports the work to install the new netting is almost finished.

Last season, one fan was struck by a part of a broken bat, and another fan was hit by a foul ball, with both fans suffering injuries.

The injuries caused Major League Baseball to urge teams to put more safety netting behind home plate.  (Metro Networks Inc.)
