Red Cross: Emergency Shortage of Blood

Despite valiant efforts like WBSM's blood drive last week, there is still a great need for blood right now.

The American Red Cross has initiated an emergency request for all types of blood platelet and donors in Southern New England and elsewhere. The Director of Communications, Donna Morrissey, said donations were down about 10% and has issued the call to help make up this shortfall.
