With the implementation of new street lights well underway in New Bedford, some questions still remain.

The City Council filed a motion Tuesday evening to open up more lines of communication regarding the new LED street lights.

Ward Two Councilor Steve Martins says residents want more information about the new fixtures.

The Council has requested a meeting with Department of Public Infrastructure Commissioner Ron Labelle to provide an update about how the project is going.

Councilors also have questions about why high crime areas aren't lit better like they were with the previous fixtures.
