The Valentine’s Day Meals Linked to the Most Breakups
It's the time of year when loving partners everywhere book reservations and buy flowers to celebrate their love, but it's also when many relationships fall apart.
Why Valentine’s Day Puts Pressure on Relationships
There is a lot of pressure on couples, especially men, to "get it right" with planning ahead, from getting that reservation for your favorite dinner spot to the simple yet thoughtful things for your loved one.
Getting it wrong on Valentine's Day could be a big red flag, especially early on in a relationship. That's why, when I came across this article talking about the most popular breakup foods, I had to share it to hopefully prevent you from a public breakup moment.
Why Pizza Dates Raise Red Flags in Massachusetts
If you think your relationship is on the rocks and you live in Massachusetts, it could be the food. Google searches suggest pizza is the most popular food in the Commonwealth, and that makes sense since to most of us, it's a comfort, but I'd say no to a pizza date right now.

Ice Cream Dates and Easy Exit Signals
If you live in Rhode Island, they are saying it's ice cream dates that are likely a sign you may be on the verge of a breakup. Again, a comfort food, but also a food that makes for an easy escape. A pint of your favorite ice cream is usually my go-to after a breakup.
Now this data is always changing, and I'm not sure it really holds any merit. Still, it's interesting to see what some of this baseline research is saying.
Don't get me wrong, we only wish you and the one you love a lifetime of happiness. However, if they end up telling you they are taking you out for pizza or ice cream, maybe you should take pause and make another suggestion.
Best of luck this love season.
