Pavement Repairs Cause Delays, Lane Closures In Taunton

Lane restrictions will be in place in Taunton this week as the Massachusetts Department of Transportation makes pavement repairs along Route 140.

Taunton Police say the work will take place in the area between Home Depot to Hart St.

The work is expected to begin on Thursday and will end Tuesday weather permitting.

Excavated sewer and drain replacement work is expected to take place on Forest St. between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. and will likely require a detour of Forest St.

Gas main replacement work will be taken place on Warren St.

In addition trench or curb-to-curb pavement work will also be taking place on Trescott St., School St., Cedar St., Union St., Church Green, Cohannet St (near Taunton Green), and Winthrop St (near Taunton Green).

The work will take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. and will occasionally require detours during work hours.
