Description

The Cape, Islands and Southeast Massachusetts Chapter serves a population of more than 1,273,000 people in the 15 towns of Barnstable County, the islands of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, and Plymouth and Bristol counties. We are part of the Massachusetts Region of the Red Cross.

The American Red Cross of the Cape, Islands and Southeast Massachusetts is looking for someone to help with the following tasks at their office in Hyannis. The volunteer must have a willingness to support the Red Cross Mission.

  • Assist in office administration in Chapter office
  • Answer telephones
  • Provide information and take messages
  • Typing, data entry, work filing.
  • Assist in the preparation of mailings.
  • Communicate with volunteers.
  • Assemble packets of information.

Shifts will be between two and four hours on Mondays and Fridays. The American Red Cross of the Cape, Islands and Southeast Massachusetts prefers that volunteer schedules their office hours in the afternoons, from 12:30 to 4:30 pm.

Volunteers carry out 90% of the humanitarian work of the Red Cross.
