After existing quite nicely for more than 100 years, political correctness has driven a stake right through the heart of the Boy Scouts. The Boy Scouts, as we knew them, are dead.

After deciding to welcome girls, the Boy Scouts will simply be known as Scouts BSA from this day forward. Scouts BSA will begin recruiting girls 11-17 years old next year. The parent organization will remain the Boy Scouts of America, and the Cub Scouts — its program for 7-to-10-year-olds — will keep its title as well.

Chief Scout Executive Mike Surbaugh tells the New York Post, “We wanted to land on something that evokes the past but also conveys the inclusive nature of the program going forward,” he said. “We’re trying to find the right way to say we’re here for both young men and young women.”

The Post says, "The program for the older boys and girls will largely be divided along gender lines, with single-sex units pursuing the same types of activities, earning the same array of merit badges and potentially having the same pathway to the coveted Eagle Scout award."

The Boy Scouts of America should get a badge for being stupid for caving to the demands of left-wing progressives who have a problem with gender identity.

Boys are boys and girls are girls. There is nothing wrong with that. Why is it not okay for there to be an all-boy organization? If the girls are looking for a more challenging program, they can reform the one they have.

Geez, next thing you know they will be letting people use the restroom of their choice rather than the one that corresponds to their birth certificate.

Oh, wait...
