OPINION| Barry Richard: Oakland Mayor Warns Of ICE Raid

The Mayor of Oakland, California committed a treasonous act and should be subject to immediate arrest and incarceration.

Looney-lefty Mayor Libby Schaaf (D) issued a warning on Saturday to illegals in her city that federal ICE agents would be conducting an immigration raid. One hundred and fifty people were rounded up over three days by the agents, but Acting ICE Director Thomas Homan says 800 criminal illegals remain on the lose as a result.

Homan told Fox & Friends what Schaaf did was reckless and places his officers in greater danger

"What she did is no better than a gang lookout yelling 'police' when a police cruiser comes in the neighborhood, except she did it to a whole community. This is beyond the pale."

Schaaf issued a statement saying she does not regret her actions, insisting she was trying to keep families together:

"It is Oakland's legal right to be a sanctuary city and we have not broken any laws. We believe our community is safer when families stay together."

Homan says his department is reviewing the situation to determine whether Schaaf can be charged with obstruction of justice.

Mayor Schaaf and people like her are ignorant beyond belief, and should not be elected to positions of power. Her twisted sense of right and wrong puts the happiness of criminals ahead of the safety of those charged with enforcing the law.

Schaff's misguided behavior and lack of judgment should be rejected by all law-abiding Americans who remain committed to protecting the sovereignty of this great nation.
