OPINION | Barry Richard: Left’s Defense of MS-13 is Idiotic
Fox News analyst Marc Thiessen says the Democrats have handed President Trump a "winning issue" going forward by so vigorously defending the vicious street gang MS-13.
He is right.
So accustomed are they to pouncing on everything Trump says, the left, including many in the media, were quick to hammer Trump for referring to MS-13 gang members as "animals." Problem is, they didn't give it a whole lot of thought first and it backfired. Big time.
Thiessen says there is no debating just how horrendous MS-13 is:
"Last year, two gang members in Texas reportedly murdered a teenage girl as an offering to Satan. According to prosecutors, the gang leader (known as "Diabolico") told the young girl that "the Beast" wanted "a soul" before having his partner shoot her in the head and dump her body on a street corner. As charges were read against the two, the Houston Chronicle reported, they "laughed, smiled and waved for the media cameras."
"MS-13 gang members, police have said, also stabbed a Maryland man more than 100 times before decapitating him and cutting out his heart ... lured a 34-year-old man to his already dug grave ... and stoned an 18-year-old boy to death and dumped his body under a bridge."
These are bad hombres! They need to be rounded up and tossed out of the country. Oh yeah, President Trump is doing that. But the Democrats object. Why? House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) went so far as to defend the little, misunderstood thugs:
Well, the Republican National Committee is already using the Democrat's own words on MS-13 to produce campaign commercials to hang them with for the upcoming midterms, and beyond.
So, tell me more about this big, blue wave that's on its way?
