With Ebola concerns growing, President Obama says plans are underway for additional airline passenger screening in West Africa and the U.S.

After a White House meeting with top health officials, the President again called the Ebola outbreak a significant national security threat. He talked about an "all hands on deck-approach" by the U.S. government.

Obama also repeated assurances that the odds of an outbreak in the U.S. are extremely low. He warned that the margin for error is low and said U.S. officials are redoubling efforts to ensure that health-and-safety protocols are followed across the U.S.

The President said countries around the world must do all they can to help stop the epidemic "at its source" in West Africa. He argued that the U.S. cannot do it alone and said some able nations are not stepping up as they should. He did not identify those countries.

Members of Obama's national security team also attended the White House meeting.  (Metro Networks Inc.)
