Stand Down Hillary, We’re Good [OPINION]

Democrats who are concerned that their trash can has more appeal than the field of candidates for the party's presidential nomination should be worried. It does. And now the queen of denial is said to be considering making that wretched heap even more deplorable.

Yes, Hillary Clinton is reportedly telling anyone who will listen that she would jump into the race in a heartbeat if she thought she could win. Well you can't, Hillary, so spare us all the misery of a third campaign. The people have spoken loudly and clearly and they don't want you.

Democrats are said to be so distraught over their offerings that some are reportedly begging Michael Bloomberg, Eric Holder, John Kerry, and Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown to dive in to save the day. Notice no one appears to be asking Hillary to get in; she just assumes she is welcome. By the way, you've got to be pretty desperate to think John Kerry, who lost to George W. Bush in 2004, could be your savior.

When you pull back and come to understand that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Adam Schiff, Nancy Pelosi, Bernie Sanders, Gavin Newsom, and Gerald Nadler are the face of the new Democrat Party and that Joe Biden and Liz Warren remain your best hope of taking down Donald Trump, it's enough to make you cry.

We don't know at this point who the standard-bearer for the Democrats will be in 2020. At this point, it's anybody's guess. One thing is for sure, most Democrats would probably prefer that Hillary Clinton stand down and perhaps would prefer even more that she just go away.
