Police stopped the vehicle at the Austin Street and Richmond Street intersection. Inside were two occupants: the operator, Keith Santerre, 46, and his girlfriend, Jennifer Santos, 42, both of Fall River.

After a vehicle search, Santerre and Santos were allegedly found to have over 43 grams of crack cocaine in their possession, along with a digital scale that was allegedly covered in a white, powdery substance.

Both individuals were arrested and charged with trafficking in crack cocaine and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance laws.

Additionally, Santerre was found to have two active warrants for his arrest.

Police said Santerre has an extensive history of convictions for a variety of offenses, including armed robbery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and drug possession.

He is currently being held in the custody of the Bristol County Sheriff, police said.
